About Shipshape Design
Shipshape Design is a design and consulting company for the shipbuilding and design industries.
Specialised in interior projects, Shipshape Design can help you whether your problem is big or small, a long project or a day´s work.
Experienced in interior design, design management, project coordination and project management, purchasing and procurement, on-site management, ship checks, reclaim issues, budgeting and contract specifications for turnkey companies, cruise lines, shipyards, architect companies and design offices.
Maija Knutar
By education I am an interior architect (Master of Interior Architecture). I started working in the shipbuilding industry in 2007 and since then, I have worked for Europlan, Kaefer, ENGnD, NIT, Allstars Engineering, Meyer Turku and Shipbuilding Completion and collaborated with f.ex. Shippalette, PSD, NCL, RCCL, Disney Cruise Line and Aida, along with many international architect offices and shipbuilding professionals from around the world.
For me, the shipbuilding industry is the perfect setting to utilise my design education, material knowledge, vast language skills and international experience I have gained from living in Germany, UK and Turkey.
I am hard-working, enthusiastic, joyous and efficient in my work and always looking for new ways to improve working methods. I´m passionate about everything I do, but I especially love samba, nature, arts, sunshine and baking.
